Industrial Air Filter Ignition Resistance

The innovative design of our in-line air filters passed the modified ASTM G-175 Phase 2 Promoted Ignition Test with 5,000 PSIG oxygen. This standard test is meant to determine if an upstream ignition event will result in combustion and burnout in the inlet filter. This test focuses primarily on the likelihood of ignition and the consequences of these combustions when they occur.

Our filters are ignition-resistant and fault-tolerant, which means they pass the Oxygen Pressure Shock Test as well as Promoted Ignition Testing. At Chase Filters and Components, we design our filters to absorb the impact of ignition outcomes and ultimately protect system components and downstream piping from damage.

Our filters are also constructed of brass, which has superior ignition resistance over other materials like stainless steel and aluminum. We manufacture filters with only the highest-quality materials so you can use our products with confidence.
